About me
What began as a personal journey of healing has grown into a wholehearted calling to support others: mind, body, and soul. I’m Naomi, founder of Purple Phoenix Wellness. My path has led me to become a certified Death Doula with the Home Hospice Association, a Usui and Kundalini Reiki Master Teacher, a registered practitioner with the Canadian Reiki Association, a Meditation Teacher, a Forest Therapy Guide and a certified Grief, Mindfulness, and Spiritual Life Coach. Each modality became part of my work with intention, shaped by lived experience and chosen with love.
But this journey began long before the certifications. It began with the heartbreak of loss. As a child, I experienced losses and most notably the devastating death of my brother. That moment became a quiet ache that rippled through the years, shaping my soul in ways I didn't yet understand. It wasn’t until later in life, through my own healing, study, and spiritual awakening, that I began to fully feel the calling to help others through their own pain, healing journey and transitions. I believe that grief is sacred. That healing is possible. And that none of us are meant to carry the weight of life and loss alone.
Purple Phoenix Wellness was born from this vision, to offer a sanctuary for healing, remembrance, and spiritual reconnection. Through Reiki energy healing, guided meditation, compassionate support, and the sacred honour of walking beside those nearing end of life, I help others reclaim light within the dark. Whether you are navigating the heartbreak of losing someone you love, preparing for your own sacred life transition, or seeking reconnection with your soul’s voice, I am here, heart open, hands ready.
The name Purple Phoenix was chosen with deep thought and care: Purple Phoenix reflects both energy and transformation. Purple is the colour of the crown chakra, our link to higher consciousness, unity, and divine wisdom. The Phoenix symbolizes rebirth, the strength to rise from the ashes of life’s trials, and the sacred power of renewal. Together, they speak to the journey of healing, awakening, and becoming whole again.
This work is not a profession. It is a promise. To walk with you. To listen deeply. To honour every tear.
And to remind you: from ashes, we rise.
Quote
"The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy or unfulfilled. For it is only such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers." - M. Scott Peck
